Dr. O'Bryan

Veterinarian / Owner

Dr. O'Bryan is a native Texan who was raised in the suburbs of Dallas, between the tall pine trees of East Texas, and has traveled all over the world trying not to grow up, but become a better practitioner. He fulfilled his calling to God and country and served as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy, finding his professional calling in surgery since he was 19 years old. He completed his bachelors in Animal Science from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and went straight to Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 2008. Upon graduation he completed a one-year internship in equine medicine specializing in equine procedures of the head and neck, and general practice.

  • He has previously served as a Commissioner on the Paris planning and zoning commission.

  • Serves on the Texas Veterinary Medical Association Government Relations Committee, and testifies before the Texas Legislature on matters of concern to veterinary medicine.

  • Is a published author on several areas of veterinary medicine.

  • National speaker and presenter on Electronic Health Records in veterinary medicine.

He is married to his lovely wife, Jill, and they have three beautiful children - Patrick, Evan, and Claire. Dr. O'Bryan is also an active member of state and national veterinary medical associations, as well as other veterinary discipline specific organizations. His future plans include being the first AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited in Lamar County, and obtaining additional board certifications. In his spare time he enjoys sailing with his family on local lakes, fixing up their older home and tinkering.
